This Project consists of an integral environmental strategy that seeks the preservation of the ecosystems of Mangroves (Rhizophora mangle) of the Gulf of Morrosquillo, in Colombia. The main current problems of these ecosystems are:
-The mangrove trees fell by the construction industry.
-Contamination of mangrove ecosystems by garbage from residents of the region, indiscriminate and unsustainable fishing practices.
-Lack of ecotourism.
The Fundesabanas Foundation, through an investment of US $ 15,660, developed a training plan in Conservation techniques, reforestation activities for Mangrove trees and waste collection activities, in the company of young people trained in the Coveñas region.
