RESUME
The tourist development of the CITARÁ moorland and its areas of influence is based on the sustainable use of its natural and cultural tourist attractions, as well as those of the hydrological environment, through the design and execution of programs for the management, installation of the adequate tourist plant and infrastructure to support the development of nature tourism, in accordance with the objectives of sustainability in its economic, environmental and cultural dimensions of the site and the connectors that form the tourist and recreational activities of the area. For this reason, it is important to highlight the participation of the Emberá indigenous communities in the development of tourist activity, which they can contribute as a valid alternative to improve local living conditions and undoubtedly help to conserve natural environments and, above all, cultural heritage. through proper planning and control of resources, where ecotourism activity can become an important source of income.
