About Us

We are a private non-profit institution founded on January 12, 2009, committed to the Colombian territories in the conservation of their ecosystems, implementation of social projects that benefit vulnerable communities and generation of economic development through local actions and post-conflict country building.

We implement projects in alliances of private, public and educational institutions in the region, creating links that allow synergistic and cooperative relationships with the aim of forming a society with environmental awareness, more equitable and with local economic development.

Mission 2020-2030

We are promoters, implementers; and we support initiatives that are aimed at the conservation of the flora, fauna and habitats of Colombia; social initiatives that benefit the most vulnerable communities (refugees, peasants, displaced persons, single mothers); and projects that contribute to local economic development; within a framework of gender and inclusion approach.

Vission

By 2030, the Women For Biodiversity Foundation will be a leader in the savannah region (Departments of Sucre and Córdoba) in the implementation of conservation projects, economic development and social initiatives, contributing significantly to making Colombia a more equitable country, with environmental awareness and competitive in Latin America.
